Winning Artist
Seaward Properties has been a supporter of The National Open Art Competition over a number of years and was pleased to sponsor The Seaward Award for a young artist in 2011. This prize was awarded to Noe Baba at a presentation in the Minerva Theatre on 14 December. Noe graduated from the University of Brighton with a First Class BA Hons in Fine Art in 2011 and has exhibited his work both locally in Arundel and Brighton and in Japan.
The prize was awarded for a work in oil and spray paint on canvas entitled Batboy.
Through intervention, colour and mark making, I want to make paintings that enable the viewer to empathise, recall what it was to be a child and so, to be human.
